Any AVID applicant who has not completed their interview can participate in this final round of interviews this Monday, July 26th from 12 - 1 pm at the Benton Middle School Office.

Office Summer Hours
Benton's office will be open from 8:00am - 4:00pm through July 30, 2010. The office will re-open on August 9, 2010 with the summer hours of 8:00-4:00pm.

Summer Reading Requirements & Assignments
All Benton students are required to complete a summer reading assignment. Specific titles and details about the One-Pager assignment are listed below. Also, students who are 12 and under can earn a free book from Barnes & Noble, and Borders Bookstores this summer. The forms can be downloaded here. Happy Reading!

Benton Cheer Team Try-out Results!
Congratulations to all of the young ladies who came out to join the Benton Cheer Team for next year! Your very first Cheer Team Meeting will be this Thursday evening at 6:30 in the Benton MPR. This meeting is mandatory for every girl, and at least one parent. Way to go!

Students entering 7th and 8th grades at Benton next year can now apply to participate in AVID, a college-preparatory program designed to prepare students for success in school, college, and life! Applications are available below and due by May 14th in Benton's office.
